Man left soaked as he tries to walk through flood on two plastic stools
This man's unique solution to walking across his city's flooded streets by tying two plastic stools to his feet ended in him getting soaking wet when he lost his balance.
He was recorded by a passerby who watched the man, not yet identified, trying to keep his shoes dry while navigating the floodwater in Jiangxi, South-east China, on June 25.
The man had found two plastic stools and tied them to his feet with rope, allowing him to walk on the stools and avoid the water touching his clean, white trainers.
Once everything was ready, the man set off. Holding an umbrella, he carefully walked on the waterlogged road, stepping on the stools.
At first, the method seemed to be effective since the water level only reached a third of the stool's height.
But walking in the murky water on top of two stools also meant he could not see or detect any hidden obstacles below.
Just then, he slipped on something and popped over into the water, not only ruining his shoes but ending up completely soakedfrom head to toe.
After struggling to get up, he helplessly carried the stools back to a slightly less deep area so he could remove them from his wet feet.
