A quick-thinking driver narrowly escaped a landslide in central China.

The CCTV footage was filmed in Xianning City in Hubei Province on 1 July.

A car was travelling along Ma'anshan Road when signs of a landslide suddenly appeared ahead. The driver, demonstrating keen observation skills and quick reflexes, promptly executed emergency braking and evasive manoeuvres.

The car successfully avoided the landslide zone, leaving the driver unscathed.

The landslide spanned approximately 60 metres, with a collapse volume of 2,400 cubic metres, causing a blockage on National Highway G353 at the K1029+100 mark, disrupting traffic in both directions.

Following the incident, prompt and efficient repair work ensured the road was reopened to traffic by that evening.

The video was provided by local media with permission.
