Pomona PD and LACoFD responded to a multi-vehicle traffic collision at N. Garey Avenue and W. Orange Grove Avenue. Once officers and firefighters arrived on scene, they located a total of three vehicles with major damage. One person was transported in critical condition to Pomona Valley Hospital. Unknown at this time how many other victims were transported and their status of their condition. Pomona PD has a large area taped off and all traffic is being diverted away from the scene. A worker at the Del Taco who declined an on camera interview said she was inside taking orders when she heard the loud crash. The worker at Del Taco also said most of the officers and firefighters were focused on the black SUV.

Early Saturday morning, Pomona PD released the following information regarding the traffic collision: The Pomona Police Department has an important message for the community! On Friday, 7/5/24, at about 9:00 PM, officers from the Pomona police department responded to a traffic collision involving three (3) vehicles in the intersection of Garey Ave and Orange Grove Ave.  Pomona officers and LA Co. Fire responded to the scene.  Four (4) people were transported by ambulance to a local hospital with minor to severe injuries.
