A pile of boxes tumbled from the back of an overloaded pickup truck when it collided with a bungling motorcycle.

CCTV footage shows the vehicle on its way to deliver cargo to a stall in Simummuang Market on July 6 when it crashed into a two-wheeler in Pathum Thani, Thailand.

The truck driver hit the brakes, causing the stack to crumble and causing a worker sitting on top of it to fall as well.

Meanwhile, the motorcycle rider quickly hopped off his bike and was unhurt.

Both vehicles suffered minor damaged, but no one was seriously hurt, including the porter who fell.

Despite being one of the wealthiest countries in Asia, Thailand suffers from chronic underinvestment in its highways and education, contributing to its poor road safety levels. Only a handful of African countries are worse.

Thailand has one of the world's worst road safety records. Ministers have set the goal of reducing fatalities from 32.7 deaths per 100,000 people to 12 per 100,000 people by the year 2027.
