Kind-hearted volunteers intercepted six cat-stealing men on a highway and successfully rescued numerous stolen cats from their vehicle in China.

The video was filmed in Taicang City in Jiangsu Province on July 5. A female volunteer bravely confronted the cat thieves, wrestling the bags containing cats from their hands, and delivered them to her colleagues for rescue.

According to media reports, the cat burglars were captured on surveillance as they stole kittens from a home. Upon learning of this, the volunteers immediately began searching for them.

During the confrontation, the cat thieves attempted to untie the bags and release the cats onto the highway. The volunteers rushed to grab the bags and protect the cats. After the police arrived, the cat thieves fled, abandoning their van.

In an interview, the volunteers explained that the thieves used a cage baited with a sparrow to lure and capture the cats quickly by remotely electrocuting the sparrow.

The rescued kittens are currently housed at a local animal rescue centre for their owners to reclaim.
