Animal protection volunteers and police officers rescue dozens of abandoned pets in eastern China
Animal protection volunteers and police officers rescued around a hundred abandoned pets in eastern China.
Video shot in the city of Shanghai on September 20 shows volunteers treating the abandoned newborn pets who were put in delivery boxes and left on a roadside.
The abandoned cats and dogs were all around 2-months-old and around 20 out of 100 of them were found dead.
The remaining pets were taken to a local police station to be checked by the volunteers and they all have been adopted by kind-hearted residents.
Police are investigating the case. The video was provided by local media with permission.
