SOUNDBITE 1 (English): CHARLES ONUNAIJU, Director of Center for China Studies, Nigeria
"We've seen that China is already making a significant impact in advancing reform.
China is engaging the rest of the world. It's already in some ways, in some meaningful, practical ways, sharing her prosperity with the rest of the world.
China's experience is not replicable by anyone. And what they do, they put it in the context, China's modernization is Chinese style. So it is very evident that you cannot copy mechanically what they are doing. But it is important to engage the lessons, the lessons of engaging your reality, the lessons of depending on your own experience while paying attention to others' experience.
China's experience, China's reform, have not only made meaningful contributions in global economy, but informed others who also want to explore their own experiences."

SOUNDBITE 2 (English): SHERIFF GHALI, Director of contemporary China-Africa research, University of Abuja
"Nigeria has been benefiting from Chinese reforms, and Nigeria is really benefiting from the outcome of the Belt and Road Initiative. We are seeing more job opportunities for Nigerian people. We are getting more infrastructure built up in Nigeria. We are seeing distance reduced. We are having the speed train technology. The difficulty of doing business in Nigeria has been eased. And Nigeria also learns from China that in order for us to be great again, we have to carry out reforms."
