STORYLINE:

An international symposium focusing on the comprehensive deepening of reform and 21st-century Marxism was held on Friday at Xiamen University, east China's Fujian Province.

The event brought together party officials and experts from 14 foreign countries, who spoke about positive outcomes of China's reforms.

"I visited China in 2018. And in this short period, too many things change. Very high development is happening (in China) now. So I think that the Chinese people are going the right way. China is now in a position with high technology that could help other third world countries to develop our economy."
