STORYLINE:

A Brazilian business delegation has recently procured carton production equipment worth over 1 million yuan (about 137,823 U.S. dollars) in Matou Town, Fucheng County in China's Hengshui.

One of the visitors, Angelo Rodegheri Duarte Samuel, said he's impressed by the flourishing packaging machinery industry here, despite this being his first visit to China.

Matou Town is located by the Grand Canal. Historically, it was an important cargo terminal, bustling with merchants, shops and markets.

In recent years, as China has continuously advanced the transformation and upgrading of its manufacturing industry, Fucheng County has also implemented business-friendly measures to attract investors from outside.

39-year-old Gong Jingchun came to Matou and established his company here in 2021.

He has subsequently introduced automated production lines, and has exported his equipment to dozens of countries.
