SOUNDBITE (English): STEFANO BOERI, Italian architect
"I think that China has done tremendous steps in direction of making cities greener. And that's something that is visible immediately, when you land in Beijing or in Nanjing, or in Shenzhen, or in Shanghai. So everywhere what you can see is a tremendous effort to reduce the pollution, also with an amazing step in direction of changing the format of private mobility, introducing electricity as a basic tool for individual car mobility.
At the same time, I also have seen in these last years a very important effort to introduce forest, woodlands, trees in the public space in China, which is another very important step, together with the reduction of the consumption of energy, introduction of renewable energy like solar panels or wind turbines."
