A passenger was arrested after his violent outburst over a missed flight at Shanghai Pudong International Airport on August 12.

A frustrated passenger lost control after missing his flight. The man, identified as 39-year-old Lu, became enraged over the delay and took his frustration out on the airline's check-in counter.

Eyewitnesses and police reports reveal that Lu's anger quickly escalated. Initially, he was heard shouting at the airline staff, but his fury soon turned physical. Lu began assaulting the employees and vandalising the check-in counter, causing significant disruption and disorder at the airport.

The airport police arrived promptly after receiving reports of the disturbance. They managed to subdue Lu and escort him from the scene.

Following an investigation, authorities confirmed that Lu's actions constituted a serious breach of public order and intentional harm to others. He has been placed under administrative detention and is facing legal consequences.

The case is currently under further review.
