China National Offshore Oil Corporation (CNOOC) announced on Saturday that the Bozhong 19-6 Condensate Gas Field has produced over 1 billion cubic meters of natural gas.
First discovered in 2019 in the central Bohai Sea, Bozhong 19-6 is the first gas field with proven reserves of over 100 billion cubic meters of natural gas.
The explored natural gas reserves of the project exceed 200 billion cubic meters, and the reserves of condensate oil exceed 200 million cubic meters, according to CNOOC, China's largest offshore crude oil and natural gas producer.
Bozhong 19-6 Condensate Gas Field Phase I Development Project commenced production in November 2023.
