Emergency services were called after a woman's hair got stuck in a massage chair in Ji'an, Jiangxi Province.

On August 30 at Guoguang Shopping Center, firefighters sprung into action to free a woman who was unable to exit a massage chair after hair had got stuck in the device's gaps.

As the woman's hair was not tied up it was more easily pulled in and tightly trapped.

To avoid causing injury to the woman, the firefighters carefully disassembled the massage chair using hydraulic cutters and other tools. After a tense and delicate rescue, the firefighters successfully freed the woman, who fortunately did not suffer any major injuries.

Following the incident, the mall staff stated that if it was determined there were safety or quality issues with the massage chairs, they would remove all related equipment and inspect all massage chairs to ensure customer safety.

Meanwhile, the "LeMoBa" massage chair brand responded, stating that the massage chair had been previously tampered with, which may have caused the accident. The company has reached an agreement with the woman’s family and will conduct a comprehensive safety inspection of all massage chairs deployed in public areas nationwide.
