Woman's hair gets trapped in massage chair at Chinese railway station
a woman's long hair became entangled in the station's shared massage chair, leaving her unable to move in southern China.
Terrifying video filmed at Chongqing West Railway Station on August 3 shows a woman getting trapped and crying, as her hair was caught in the mechanism of the massage chair, calling for help in panic.
Several passersby and station staff rushed to her aid, first cutting off the power to the chair and eventually using scissors to free her by cutting the trapped hair. The woman was released from the entrapment with the assistance of the crowd and station workers.
On August 4, officials from Chongqing West Station responded, stating that after the woman was rescued, she was taken to the hospital for treatment. A small portion of her hair, about the width of a thumb, had been torn off, but she suffered no other injuries.
The issue was properly resolved later that day, and the massage chair company reached an understanding with the woman.
It was revealed that the massage chair had two protective covers, and the first layer's zipper being open wouldn't affect usage. However, the second layer's zipper was opened either previously or by the passenger's improper use, leading to the accident.
The video was provided by local media with permission.
