This is the bizarre moment a motorcycle without a rider travels down the road in front of a car in China.

The unusual incident occurred in Fuzhou, Fujian province, on August 31.

The riderless motorbike veered across the road and collided with the crash barrier several times before heading across several road lanes toward traffic in the other direction, where the video ended.

It toppled over when it hit the curb before causing an accident with the oncoming traffic.

Mr He, the car driver that witnessed the incident, said: 'I thought I was dreaming. I mean, how can a motorcycle drive itself.'

He later discovered that the mystery was solved when he looked back and saw that a couple of bikers had fallen off the bike, which had surged forward without them.
