HMS Queen Elizabeth Excercising Off Dorset Coast UK After Fatal Merlin Helicopter Accident
The Royal Navy Aircraft Carrier HMS Queen Elizabeth filmed excercising off Portland Bill lighthouse in Dorset the day after a fatal accident when a Merlin helicopter from the ship ditched into the sea.
Two crew were rescued and one was killed. Family have been informed.
A commando helicopter from the aircraft carrier ditched into the sea off Dorset UK with the loss of one navy person. It is thought that the Mark 4 Merlin helicopters were from 846 Squadron which is part of the Royal Navy aviation wing or Fleet Air Arm.
