Locals in Soc Son Dictrict, Hanoi, rescued around 8,000 pigs from a farm left flooded by Typhoon Yagi.

Thousands of rescued pigs stood and lay scattered on high ground. Most of them were exhausted from being submerged in water and had to swim in the water for a long time. Many pigs could not move and had to lie still on the ground.

Because the flood water rose so quickly and there were thousands of pigs, the farm owner had to mobilize dozens of people to rescue these pigs. (There were about 100 people participating in the rescue). Most of the people were exhausted after nearly a day of rescuing these pigs.
