Firefighters and rescuers in Lampung Selatan, Lampung had to conduct a dramatic evacuation when a more than 3-meter-long python invaded a livestock pen and residential area in Kalianda on Thursday, March 13. The evacuation became more difficult as the python squeezed into a narrow crevice and attempted to attack the rescuers.

However, with the help of local residents, the python was finally captured after the rescuers' 30-minute effort. The python's capture brought relief to the residents, as it had previously entered their homes and preyed on livestock such as chickens.

Sefri Masdian, the head of the Lampung Selatan Fire and Rescue Department, explained that they were contacted by the locals at 3:48 AM after the python entered the house. The rescuers arrived at the location in 2 minutes and managed to evacuate the 3-meter-long python.

Following this incident, the Lampung Selatan Fire and Rescue Department urged the residents to immediately report any wild animals causing disturbance. The rescuers will quickly head to the location to conduct evacuation and prevent further harm.
