US, Los Angeles: Pomona Wrong Way Pursuit Crash Leaves 2 Suspects Ejected and Dead With CHP PIO Briefing On Camera

10/04/2024 04:54 pm (GMT-0700) | POMONA, Calif. – Pomona PD was in pursuit of a black SUV in their city for unknown reasons at this time. The suspects entered the northbound 71 Freeway from Mission Boulevard. The suspect crashed into multiple other vehicles during the chase.
Per Public Information Officer Joseph Davila for the CHP Baldwin Park Area, the suspect vehicle went the wrong way on the freeway, where it crashed into the right shoulder and flipped multiple times, killing two ejected suspects of the four suspects on the northbound 71 Freeway to the westbound 10 Freeway.
The two other suspects inside the SUV took off on foot but were taken into custody by Pomona PD.
CHP was on the scene and assisting Pomona PD in the investigation. CHP had multiple transition roads on the 71 Freeway and 57 Freeway closed to the westbound 10 Freeway in Pomona.
A Sig Alert was issued for an unknown amount of time.
