This is the shocking moment a wild boar raided a family picnic and stole a tourist's rucksack.

The hog was spotted running off with the woman's small blue bag in a field in Guangdong, China, on October 5.

Footage shows the animal carrying the bag in its mouth while heading towards the forest. The owner can be heard shouting, 'Give me back my bag!' as the boar makes its getaway.

The tourist said she was able to retrieve her bag, with all important documents still inside, though the snacks had been eaten.

'What matters most are my documents. I'm relieved to have them back,' she added.

Wild boars roam freely around cities in search of food.

Last year, the National Forestry and Grassland Administration announced the removal of wild boars from the list of valuable wild animals, stating that their populations are not currently threatened.

The government expressed concern that these animals may disrupt the natural ecosystem, prompting them to dispatch 100 teams of hunters to eliminate wild hogs that cause harm.

Wild boars, known for their aggressive behavior, have been reported to destroy crops and pose a threat to people during encounters.

Jin Kun, a researcher from the Chinese Academy of Forestry, said: 'Delisting wild boars will facilitate hunting or other prevention and control measures suited to local conditions, enabling more flexible and effective solutions to the damages caused by wild boars.'
