On the evening of October 14, during rush hour in Ganzhou, Jiangxi Province, a child under the age of 3 was found riding a toy car alone on a busy road, posing a serious safety risk. Fortunately, a traffic officer on duty spotted the child in time and safely escorted them home.

Surveillance footage shows the roads crowded with vehicles as schools were letting their pupils out. At that moment, the officer noticed the toddler on a balance bike running a red light and crossing the street without any adult supervision, which was highly dangerous. The officer quickly intervened, bringing the child to a safe area and attempting to ask for information about the family.

Since the child was too young to provide their home address, the officer was in a dilemma until the child’s older brother happened to arrive.

The brother had just finished school and was on his way home. After learning the family's address and contact information from him, the officer immediately contacted the child’s grandfather and safely drove both children home in a police car. The grandfather expressed his gratitude to the officer and promised to keep a closer watch on the child in the future.
