Los Angeles, United States - November 05, 2024 11/05/2024 01:43 am (GMT-0800) HAWTHORNE, Calif. – Three people were reported to be critically injured early Tuesday morning following a traffic collision on the I-105 East Freeway near the Prairie Avenue off-ramp. The crash, involving two vehicles, occurred around 1:43 a.m. One of the vehicles, possibly an airport shuttle, came to rest on its side. Firefighters from the Los Angeles County Fire Department arrived at the scene and found individuals trapped inside one of the vehicles. LACoFD personnel extricated the victims, who were transported to nearby hospitals with critical injuries, according to initial reports. Other individuals were seen outside the vehicle and were being evaluated by medical personnel. A suitcase was also observed at the scene. The California Highway Patrol responded to the incident and is handling the investigation. The cause of the crash remains under investigation. The off-ramp was temporarily blocked as emergency crews worked at the scene.
