Agile goat climbs wall to reach fresh leaves
This is the impressive moment an agile goat climbs a wall to reach fresh leaves.
The white farm animal effortlessly scaled the near-vertical brick wall in Hebei, China, on October 31.
Footage shows the goat grazing on the leaves of a tree next to the wall. Moments later, its owner gave some leaves to the animal and gently helped it come down.
Mr Zhang said: 'This particular goat is quite picky about his food.
'Normally, we let the goats out to graze. While he was eating some fallen leaves from the ground, he only had a couple of bites before spotting a small branch on the wall with fresher leaves on it.
'When I saw it climbing up, I was worried it might reach the top and run off to another place.'
Goats have two-toed hooves with hard shells and spongy pads that help them grip and balance on small cracks and ledges. The pads act like suction cups, allowing goats to cling to narrow surfaces.
