London woke up to chaos as Storm Conall brought heavy rainfall, flooding key parts of the city. Major roads, including Streatham High Road, are submerged, causing severe delays for motorists and public transport users.
The storm comes just days after the UK was battered by Storm Bert, with a yellow weather warning now in place for rain. Residents are reporting unprecedented flooding, with some areas receiving two weeks' worth of rain in a single day.
Sharing her experience, @joannamont captured the scene in Streatham at 7 a.m., where flooded streets forced her to reconsider her commute. "Ridiculous reasons for possibly being ten minutes late for work," she wrote, “I’ve got brand new Adidas on and I couldn’t get across Streatham High Road to any of the bus stops.”
The Met Office continues to warn of challenging conditions, urging commuters to exercise caution as water levels remain high and traffic disruptions persist.
