A kind security guard let in a thirsty stray dog and a wild boar to give them water.

The night duty worker was patrolling the compound when he spotted the pooch and the boar together on the streets in Phayao, Thailand.

Heartwarming footage shows the guard at the Provincial Electricity Authority office opening the gates and pointing a flashlight on the animals to call their attention.

The dog and boar stopped and approached the man. He gave them some refreshments and stayed until the morning.

He said: ‘I noticed the dog had a collar and posted its pictures on social media to find its owner. They are of different species but treated each other like best friends.'

As it turned out, the dog and boar were pets that escaped their home at night and were retrieved by their owner in the morning.
