Cute wild civet found on mountain in China
An adorable wild civet was spotted by a hiker on a mountain in China.
Mr Xu encountered the nocturnal mammal while climbing the rocky terrain in Huangshan, Anhui, on October 8.
Footage shows the man extending his hand in an attempt to pet the animal. The civet then ambled out of its shelter, seemingly curious about its unfamiliar visitor.
Threatened by the presence of the hiker, the civet nearly bit him. However, Mr Xu dodged the attack by pulling his hand away.
Civets are solitary animals. They are shy and tend to stay out of sight from humans and other animals nearby. However, like any other animal, they will attack if they feel threatened.
