This is the amusing moment confetti covered food with glitter and pieces of shiny paper during a gender reveal party.

Eden Buendia, a six-month-pregnant soon-to-be mum, hosted a party to reveal the gender of her child in Negros Occidental, the Philippines, on December 1.

Footage shows Eden, blindfolded, cutting the cake in half exposing a blue filling to show that she is expecting a baby boy.

Upon learning the gender, her friends and family popped the confetti, scattering it all over the uncovered dishes and snacks.

Genesis Buendia, Eden's sister, said: 'What we did was take the confetti out of the food. Because of that, the gender reveal became even more joyful, and everyone helped out.'
