Los Angeles, United States - December 10, 2024 12/10/2024 12:55 am (GMT-0800) EAST LOS ANGELES, Calif. – Los Angeles Sheriff's Department deputies shot a suspect who was armed with a handgun outside of a 7-Eleven at 6571 E. Olympic Blvd. in the area of East Los Angeles. One suspect was transported to a local hospital with CPR in progress. There was a gun located in front of the doors of the 7-Eleven. Deputy personnel provided medical aid to the male pending the arrival of the Los Angeles County Fire Department. He was transported to a local hospital, where he was later pronounced deceased, the LASD reported. Los Angeles County Sheriff's Homicide investigators responded to the scene and assumed control of the investigation into the circumstances surrounding the deputy-involved shooting incident. A handgun was recovered at the scene, according to the LASD. No deputies were injured. There is no additional information at this time.
