US, Los Angeles: Florence Firestone Pursuit Crash
Los Angeles, United States - December 11, 2024 12/11/2024 01:00 am (GMT-0800) FLORENCE-FIRESTONE, LOS ANGELES – A police pursuit early Wednesday morning in the Florence-Firestone neighborhood ended in a multi-vehicle crash, with the suspect fleeing on foot and remaining at large. The incident began around 1 a.m. when LAPD Newton Division officers were pursuing a white sedan for unknown reasons near Florence and Compton Avenues. The suspect's vehicle collided with another car, striking an innocent driver, a tree, and a parked pickup truck. Following the crash, the suspect fled on foot into a nearby neighborhood. Officers searched the area, but the suspect is still outstanding. No details about injuries or the reason for the pursuit were immediately available. The investigation is ongoing.
