Circus performer falls during daring stunt in China
This is the shocking moment a circus performer fell during his daring stunt in China.
The gymnast dropped 33ft (10m) through the air during their 'Death Wheel' segment at Changsha Fun Kingdom in Hunan, on December 15.
Footage shows three acrobatic performers inside the rotating wheel.
Moments later, the trio gained momentum to speed up, spinning the huge Ferris-wheel-like structure and causing one of them to plummet to the ground.
The acrobat had even crashed on one of the circular platforms before falling to the 20cm thick padded floor.
The staff immediately checked on him and transported him to a nearby hospital.
The amusement park said in their statement: 'We sent him to the hospital for a full body examination immediately and he has returned to work as the doctors concluded that he is fine, and he did not have any broken bones.'
Local media reported that the victim did not sustain any life-threatening injuries and is now resting before returning to his nightly shows at the circus.
A staff member from the amusement park said: 'He is in a stable situation now, nothing is wrong, thank you for your concern.
'They are used to performing, and the performances are all precautionary, and the circus is still going on the same way.'
Last year in June, two motorcycles accidentally collided while performing in an iron cage during the 'Global Speed' stunt performance at the same amusement park.
Two drivers reportedly fell to the ground with their vehicles and sustained injuries.
