Warehouse automation is the use of technology and machinery to automate various tasks within a warehouse environment, from automated storage and retrieval systems to robotics, conveyors, automated guided vehicles and management software. And at this warehouse in the Pilot Free Trade Zone Qingdao Area in east China’s Shandong Province, workers are testing an AI-powered object recognition system. (Sound_bite) Wang Meng, Manager, warehouse： "When a batch of goods is stored, it goes through inbound and outbound inventory checks, and stocktaking, which are highly labor-intensive and inefficient. With AI algorithms, real-time inventory tracking is now realized and we can currently achieve AI-based recognition for common standardized goods."
