US, Los Angeles: Panorama City 4 Patients 1 Dies in Structure Fire With Sound On Tape
Los Angeles, United States - December 28, 2024 12/28/2024 03:31 am (GMT-0800) PANORAMA CITY, LOS ANGELES – The Los Angeles Fire Department responded to a structure fire in the 9200 block of North Wakefield Avenue. Upon arrival, they found a row of three-story townhomes with one unit well-involved in flames and extending into a second unit. Firefighters began the firefight in offensive mode with additional resources en route. The LAFD reported one person was removed from one of the units and was treated by firefighters. Firefighters achieved knockdown at 4:14 a.m., with over 70 firefighters at the scene. The LAFD reported heavy fire was present in two townhomes, and the fire was prevented from extending to the third attached home. Per protocol, LAFD Arson investigators responded to determine the cause. A total of four patients were evaluated by firefighters at the scene. In an early morning update, the LAFD reported a fatality related to the fire. An adult female was beyond medical help and determined deceased at the scene. A 25-year-old male, an 83-year-old female, and another adult male (age unknown) were transported in unknown conditions.
