This is the moment the Popocatepetl Volcano spews gas with 30 exhalations in Mexico.

The volcano, known as Don Goyo, has shown heightened activity, releasing water vapour, volcanic gases, and small amounts of ash on January 13.

The National Center for Disaster Prevention (Cenapred) reported that seismic activity accompanied the eruptions, with 54 minutes of recorded tremors, including 34 minutes of high-frequency tremors and 20 minutes of harmonic tremors.

Authorities are closely monitoring the situation as the volcano remains active.

Popocatepetl, which means 'Smoking Mountain' in the Aztec Nahuatl language, is the second-highest peak in Mexico and one of the country's most famous volcanoes, known for its frequent eruptions.
