Port-au-Prince, Haiti - January 21, 2025 The 17 Colombians accused of involvement in the plot to assassinate Haitian President Jovenel Moïse in July 2021 appeared before the Court of Appeal in Port-au-Prince on Monday. The hearing was postponed due to the absence of two Haitian suspects, Dimitri Herard and Laguel Civil, who escaped prison in 2023. This is the second court appearance of the Colombians after a series of delays, including the retirement of judge Denise Papillon, which necessitated a new tribunal. (Camera: JOHNSON SABIN).
