This is the shocking moment a Russian tourist live streaming along a beach was attacked by prostitutes in Thailand.

Evgenii Krachenko, 45, was broadcasting on his phone when he was confronted by a sex worker near Pattaya Beach in 'Sin City' Pattaya, early morning today.

Footage shows the hooker wearing a low-cut floral slit dress stomping over to the Russian in her high heels. She then began screaming and cursing at him before dragging him off his motorcycle as other women rushed to restrain her.

Local police said Evgenii reported the alleged attack, which left him with a scraped knee, at 4:30 am local time. They went to the beach, where they found the suspect sitting on a lounge chair with her friends.

Locals said the woman was often seen loitering about in the area. During questioning, she claimed Evgenii had violated her privacy as she had been seen on his live stream.

The Russian said: 'I did not violate or film her in any way, so I don't understand why she attacked me. I thought the people here were welcoming and friendly.'

Police Lieutenant Phupha Hongyakul, deputy chief of investigation at the local police station, said: 'This incident has severely damaged the image of Pattaya as a tourist destination. We have detained the woman and will be taking legal action against her.'

The disturbing incident is the latest issue involving tourists in the bustling coastal city, where round-the-clock sex workers cater to holidaymakers.

It has also become a haven for tourists fleeing from the Russia-Ukraine war.

Government chiefs have attempted to clean up the city but regular violence and depravity continue to blight its reputation.

In December, a British tourist, 71, was grilled by police after he admitted sleeping with the the corpse of a dead prostitute for three nights before the body was discovered.
