Los Angeles, United States - January 28, 2025 01/28/2025 09:30 pm (GMT-0800) DEL REY, LOS ANGELES, Calif. – A suspect is in custody after a shooting left a man dead in an alley in the Del Rey neighborhood of Los Angeles. The Los Angeles Fire Department was present for an unknown call in the 11700 block of Avon Way when they reported a suspicious dead body with a gunshot wound and requested the Los Angeles Police Department to respond, according to initial information from the scene. LAPD Pacific Division officers responded after receiving a "notification" of the incident, according to the LAPD. Arriving officers established a crime scene, and the shooting victim was pronounced deceased at the scene. According to an LAPD spokesperson, a male suspect approached and shot the victim in an alley. The victim was a Hispanic man between 60 and 70 years old. The spokesperson told KNN that the suspect is in custody and that the shooting is not gang-related.
