French student, 26, who boasted about his manhood arrested over 'sex tapes' in Thailand
A French student who posted sex tapes of himself with Thai women was arrested in Thailand.
Quentin Andres, 26, a student from a well-known Thai university, allegedly boasted about his large manhood to invite local women to have sex with him.
He was said to have secretly filmed himself romping and uploaded the videos on the platform X 'to brag about his penis size'.
Immigration police said on Monday they have arrested the Frenchman following reports about explicit content posted on his social media accounts.
Police Colonel Jirapong Rujidarongchai, superintendent of the investigation arm of Immigration Bureau Division 3, said officers raided Quentin's room in a luxury condominium after obtaining a search warrant from the Northern Bangkok Criminal Court.
Officers said they found several electronic devices and sex toys on the premises.
They also detained Andres, who reportedly admitted to being the man in the sex videos. He claimed he had stopped filming his intimate encounters a year ago, adding his actions were the result of 'excitement' and recklessness.
Police Lieutenant General Chairit Anurit, commander of Immigration Division 3, said: ‘Even though he claims to have stopped his activities, the offence had already been committed. His actions have left an indelible digital footprint and he cannot use ignorance of the law as an excuse.
'This case is a silent threat to society, because even though he had consensual sex, the women were unaware they were being filmed. They also did not know the content was being shared on social media.
'We urge potential victims to call the Immigration Bureau's Investigation Division for assistance.'
Authorities said Quentin was charged him with 'importing pornographic data into a publicly accessible computer system' and 'producing or distributing pornography for commercial purposes'.
He was handed over to the local police station for further legal action.
Quentin's arrest comes amid a crackdown on sex creators making amateur porn in Thailand.
On December 7, Brit Benjamin John Wilkinson, 40, was detained by officers as he allegedly tried to flee the country through the Suvarnabhumi International Airport in Bangkok. He is facing up to five years in prison for allegedly running the vile website 'Tuk Tuk Patrol'.
Officers said the site used racial tropes of Southeast Asian women willing to be exploited by Western men - an image that they have been trying to shake off since American GIs were based in the country in the 1950s.
Police also nabbed German man Volker Matthias Graul, 48, Serbian national Zvezdan Stojanov, 32, and Russian Andrei Gerbennikov, 34, who were all living in the country and allegedly working illegally.
Three Thai women Thanasil Sathantip, 30, Saengthien Wongkaew, 26, and Rattana Ritthiprat, 36, were also arrested for taking part in various videos connected to the suspect. All of them reportedly admitted the charges except for the German man.
Under Section 287(1) of Thailand's Criminal Code, adults more than 18 years old who appear in pornography for trade, import, production, or distribution may face up to three years in prison, a fine of up to 60,000 baht, or both.
They may also be charged for violating Section 14(4) of the Computer Crime Act for 'importing obscene data into a computer system accessible to the general public'. The offence carries a penalty of up to five years in prison, a fine of up to 100,000 baht, or both.
