Wild bird divebombs cat but cannot faze the calm feline
A wild bird divebombed a cat that passed near its tree but it could faze the calm feline.
Footage shows the furious pied fantail launching itself onto the black moggy to make it leave in Negros Occidental, the Philippines on July 10.
The territorial bird struck the stray's back multiple times but it did not flee although it walked away from the garden. It only left the feline alone when the cat reached the car park.
Onlooker Lyn Holly Parreno said: 'The little bird was annoyed, but the cat was nonchalant.'
The Philippine pied fantail is a highly territorial bird. It defends its space aggressively against other birds and even bigger animals such as cats or dogs.
