British tourists have a 6am punch-up over a girl in Thailand
A British tourist who had been partying in Thailand finished the night with a street brawl - over a girl.
The Brit and another holidaymaker were seen grappling and trading blows in an alley while a Thai woman frantically tried to separate them in Phuket on February 1.
Chaotic footage shows the tourists bare-knuckling in front of a still-closed money changer kiosk at sunrise.
The Brit is heard saying 'why the f*** are you hitting me, who the f*** are you' before another man joins the fracas.
A girl in a pink dress shouted 'stop it, stop it' but another foreigner joined the scuffle, hitting the back of the Brit in a striped shirt before apologising.
He said: 'I'm with you, I'm with you.'
The girl then tried to stop the third man from joining the rumble and pleaded with him to stay back.
When the fistfight cooled down for a second, the girl caught the attention of the Brit in the striped shirt.
She said to him: 'My friend, my friend.'
Onlooker Pannawit Yongyosying, who recorded the video, said the men were trying to take the woman in the pink dress home.
He said: 'This fight happened very early in the morning when I was going to work. The men were all fighting over the woman.
'They were all walking back together but I think the girl was flirting with both of the men. They were both talking with her and wanted to go back with her.
'There was an argument and then another person showed up. They were all fighting. It was chaos.'
The three foreigners were taken to the police station when officers finally intervened.
A Patong Station officer said: 'The quarrel was settled. They all went separate ways after it was resolved.'
Phuket has become one of the most popular tourist destinations in Asia, but it has also attracted criminals and rowdy holidaymakers.
Furious locals have been blaming the Thai government's free visa policy for the influx of 'low-quality tourists' in the country.
The scheme was implemented as a quick-fix income boost instead of long-term investment in infrastructure, education and tech industries.
