Phoenix, United States - February 11, 2025 02/11/2025 12:40 am (GMT-0700) CHANDLER, Ariz. – Chandler Fire responded to the 2800 South block of Camellia Drive shortly before 1:00 a.m. Tuesday to reports of a house fire. Fire crews arrived and located a single-story house with active fire showing through the roof. Crews established several hand lines and began attacking the fire. Due to the size of the fire, firefighters switched to a defensive position and began fighting the fire from the exterior. The fire was balanced to a first-alarm working fire with additional resources from Chandler Fire and Mesa Fire responding. At one point, a large portion of the roof collapsed. Firefighters positioned a ladder truck and deployed an elevated master stream above the fire. Preliminary information indicates that no one was injured in the fire. Investigators are on the scene and will work to determine the cause of the fire.
