Tourists were in awe as crocodiles lounged above an aquarium tunnel in Malaysia.

Hayati Ahmed and his family curiously observed the reptiles resting on top of the glass tunnel during their visit to the Crocodile Kingdom at A'Famosa Safari Wonderland in Melaka on February 9.

Footage shows two water predators leisurely resting on the surface.

Holidaymakers can be seen amused as they observe the animals up close.

Hayati said: 'We were actually stunned to see the crocodiles that close. It was also our first time visiting such a place because aquarium tunnels are usually for different aquatic and sea creatures, but this one is different.'

The Crocodile Kingdom at A'Famosa Safari Wonderland in Melaka, Malaysia, is a dedicated area showcasing various crocodile species. Visitors can see these reptiles up close in their naturalistic enclosures, learn about their behaviour, and even witness feeding sessions.

Crocodiles are quite prevalent in the country, particularly in Sarawak and Sabah. The saltwater crocodile is the most common species and is considered an apex predator in the region.

Over the years, conservation efforts have helped their population rebound after a decline due to excessive hunting.
