Coast Guard seizes cocaine worth 1/4 billion dollars in California

The U.S. Coast Guard seized cocaine worth over a quarter of a billion dollars in California.

Authorities said the drugs were intercepted in the international waters of the Eastern Pacific Ocean by the Coast Guard Cutter Waesche (WMSL 751) on February 13.

The drugs were offloaded in San Diego and found to be cocaine estimated to be worth worth 275 million USD.

Footage shows law enforcement confiscating the recovered items.

Authorities have not disclosed the exact number of arrests, but the drugs are believed to have been intended for distribution across the United States.
