Shocked police found 19 passengers crammed inside a rickshaw in India.


Eagle-eyed cops spotted the three-wheeler driving erratically with its suspension weighed down in Jhansi, Uttar Pradesh, on February 15.

Officers pulled over the driver at a checkpoint near the Baruasagar police station.

Astonishing footage shows the passengers spilling out of the rickshaw-type tuk-tuk. Area Officer Tahrauli counted each person as they emerged from the tiny trike.

Ten men were seated on the passenger seat and can be seen exiting the rickshaw, while three others were on the driver's seat. Six more passengers were packed into the back of the vehicle.

Area Officer Tahrauli said: 'The driver will face legal consequences for what happened.'

The driver was fined 1,000 Indian Rupees (approximately 9.61 GBP) for overloading his car.
