STORYLINE:

Lu Dan is a deputy to the 14th National People's Congress from southwest China's Guizhou Province.

In 2018, Lu was elected as Party chief of Zhifu Village of Liuma Town.

"Our village primarily centers on the honey plum industry. Thanks to its distinctive climate and soil conditions, Liuma Town has made fruit farming a cornerstone of its economy. The honey plum cultivation area in our village has now expanded to over 6,500 mu (about 433 hectares).
In addition to honey plums, we also cultivate other fruits, such as mangoes.
I aim to introduce more advanced agricultural technologies, like smart irrigation systems, to enhance our production efficiency and product quality. Furthermore, I hope to establish our own agricultural brand and distribute our high-quality products nationwide through e-commerce platforms."

As a post-90s national lawmaker, Lu believes that young people can play a bigger role in rural revitalization.
