STORYLINE:
 
A total of 24 international students from 20 countries have participated in a tour in Panjin City, northeast China's Liaoning Province from July 20 to 23, to experience the vitality of China's rural revitalization.
 
In a rice-crab co-culture production base in Ping'an village, international students had the chance to learn about the local rice planting techniques and how rice and crabs can be grown together in the same field.
 
They also shared with local students the agriculture and rural development in other parts of the world.
 
At Zengjia village, a model village for rural environmental enhancement in Panjin, international students admired the lotus flowers and participated in the volunteer work.

"I am most impressed by the rural entrepreneur, Guo Jiaming, who returned to his village after graduating from university and helped all the villagers prosper. His story moved us deeply. During our visit to Panjin, I find the lifestyle in the Chinese village very fascinating and admirable. I also find houses here resemble the ones in ancient China. The traditional Chinese culture has been well preserved here. It's also very tidy. I haven't spotted any litter here."
