A small plane crashed into a remote forest in the Vermont mountains.

Authorities said the aircraft slammed into Mount Equinox, a 3000ft peak, on Wednesday, February 26, around 8:30 am.

Flight data shows the plane departed Baltimore at 6 am and rescue teams located the wreckage by 11:30 am.

Three individuals were reported injured, evaluated, and airlifted to safety.

Manchester Town Manager Scott Murphy called conditions 'difficult' with Snow, ice, and fog plaguing the area.

Police, fire, and rescue crews worked through challenging conditions, with the Manchester Fire Department leading the operation.

The aircraft was identified as a Piper Cherokee Charger, a small plane capable of carrying three passengers in addition to the pilot.
