Hundreds of paper horses and effigies offered to gods in Vietnam
This video shows hundreds of paper horses and effigies at a temple in Lao Cai Province, Vietnam, on March 1. Locals and tourists visit the temple and participate in the event to praise the gods.
Every year, at the beginning of the year or on the 17th day of the 7th lunar month (the death anniversary of Hoang Bay), local people hold a ceremony to worship hundreds of paper horses brought here by visitors from all over to offer to this god.
This is a very sacred temple in Vietnam. Tourists from all over the world bring offerings and paper horses to pray for good luck.
After the ceremony, all of these paper horses will be burned as an offering to the god.
