Manatsak Soodsang, 27, was attaching a front basket to a blue two-wheeler when it suddenly sped towards him in Bangkok, Thailand, on February 24.
Footage shows his colleague mistakenly engaging the accelerator instead of the handbrake, causing the vehicle to lurch forward and crash directly into him.
The man holding the throttle quickly lifted the motorcycle while Manatsak lay underneath it.
The mechanic reportedly sustained bruises and body aches on his back.
