This is the dramatic moment a table left on a road led to a chain-reaction crash.

Dashcam footage shows two speeding hatchbacks swerving to avoid the overturned piece of furniture lying in the middle of the highway in Chiang Mai, Thailand.

A stunned driver stopped in front of the roadblock, unable to veer into the opposite lane due to an oncoming white sedan speeding past.

Moments later, a pickup truck behind slammed into the rear of the stopped vehicle.

In another clip, the impact visibly dented the front of the pickup.

A red sedan, unable to brake in time, then crashed into the pickup, forcing the truck's rear tyres onto the car's windscreen.

No serious injuries were reported in the road collision.
