At around 7 a.m. on 1st March in Fangchenggang, Guangxi, a driver surnamed Wang failed to check for oncoming traffic before forcefully switching lanes to the right. This sudden manoeuvre left another driver, Zhao, with no time to react, resulting in a collision. The impact caused Zhao’s car to spin out of control, flipping over and crashing through the construction site barrier.

Workers on-site quickly scattered to avoid the incoming vehicle. However, one worker, Wei, who was operating inside a round pit, had no place to escape. As the airborne vehicle plunged towards him, he pressed himself against the pit wall, narrowly avoiding disaster as the car tumbled down beside him.

Thanks to his seatbelt and airbags, Zhao sustained only minor injuries and was quickly rescued.

The accident left Wang, Zhao, and Wei with minor injuries, while the construction site suffered damages, and both vehicles were significantly wrecked. Authorities determined that Wang was fully responsible for the incident. He is required to compensate for the damages to the construction site and cover the medical expenses of both Zhao and Wei.
